Hey, everyone...


First of all I wanted to say thanks to all of you for continuing to browse my gallery and favor my stuff.

I'm still kinda "stuck" when it comes to do anything creative, be it Indy or anything else. My heart just still isn't in it anymore. Yeah, I "fixed" my avatar and made that new wallpaper but that shit took me like 5 minutes.

It doesn't help the fact that I really can't seem to find anywhere to shoot any new pics in private around here.....I just don't need people staring at me when I'm trying to shoot Indy pics or anything else for that matter.

That's part of the reason I don't even attempt to wear something like my Indy hat in public with just regular clothes. I can wear the jacket because to most people it's just a leather jacket but I put the hat on by itself or with the jacket and then all of a sudden I've got every goofball in the tri-state region following behind me humming the Indiana Jones theme.

I've never been much of a hat wearer anyway, so it doesn't bother me to much but on rare occasions I would like to wear some of the stuff in public without having to worry about attracting attention.

I know, just ignore it, right? Well, I wish it were that simple. Shit like that just gets on my nerves though, especially when I'm with other people when it happens.


Anyway...


The main reason I'm writing this new journal is to mention that there seems to be a bit of movement on the next Indiana Jones movie.....Yeah, that's right, apparently we're going to get a 5th film!

I'm sure people seeing my page and hearing that probably think I'm all excited and quite frankly I'm not.

I wasn't one of these people that were running around complaining that Indy 4 was so bad that it was basically like George and Steve raped my childhood! Believe me there were and still are people that feel that way.

I've discussed how I feel about the last film on more than a few occasions around here so I'm not going to rehash all of it now. Needless to say I was "underwhelmed" by the whole thing and I saw it more than once. Of course I only paid for it once. LOL

I'd be all for another film IF I believed they'd get it right this time and we'd get another film closer to Raiders. We won't though.....What we're going to get is a continuation of the last film. Watered down action with a lackluster plot coupled with more slapstick comedy. I'm not even going to mention the whip and the gun because neither were really used in the last film so why expect to see any in this next one?!

Apparently right now there's just an "idea" for the plot, so there's no script yet several sites are reporting they're targeting the film for a 2011 release....One article also mentions the fact that by the time the film is released (IF all goes as planned) Ford will be just turning 69!

What we're going to end up with is a rushed lackluster attempt to try to squeeze this franchise for more money and all it's going to do is alienate more of the fans and ruin any goodwill people had for the original 3 and the character.

Maybe I'd be a little more optimistic if they got someone to take over the franchise that had the same passion for the character that GL and SS had at the very beginning of the series. I don't see that now....at least not with the last one. I don't know if their hearts weren't in it or they've just mellowed with age. It just seemed very lackluster to me and to a lot of people I know.

If they can't produce more films like the original 3, especially Raiders then just leave it alone. I'm perfectly fine with Indy and Marion getting together as the "end" to the series......Anything continuing beyond that is just going to be like your favorite uncle overstaying his welcome at your house. Some people just can't take a hint which ends up meaning you've got to just push the fuckers out the door.

I'm sorry I just can't take another Indy adventure like Crystal Skull.
